- Water-adjacent damage — a failed supply line or leak, and the repair work around it once the water is off
- Failed lighting — a dark stairwell, entry, or exterior approach where doing without it until morning is not reasonable
- Storm and impact damage — anything that has opened up the building envelope
If what you are describing can safely wait until morning, we will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you a late-hours visit you do not need.
How the late-hours rate works
Work outside standard hours costs more than a scheduled daytime visit — the rate reflects the hour, not the emergency. What we will not do is leave that vague. You get the number on the phone, before we come out, so it is agreed in advance instead of appearing on an invoice afterward.
Where a same-night visit is about making the home safe rather than finishing the repair, we will secure it that night and schedule the permanent fix at a normal rate.
What sits outside this service
Active plumbing emergencies need a licensed plumber, and regulated electrical work needs a licensed electrician — Elevate Your Space Handyman is not advertising as a licensed electrician or electrical contractor. We handle the door, lock, carpentry, drywall, and repair work around those trades, and can bring in licensed trade partners where the job calls for it.
